Project Book

Image
Bringing our wits together we came up with the important content to use in our project book. The project book took a total of 5 days to brainstorm and develop. We used Adobe InDesign which is software for books, magazines and posters etc. Our content inside the book includes: Background was designed and made by Ian Maher, originally character descriptions wrote by James, Colour scheme directed by Conor and project book made and laid out by Robert Byrne. As a group we are happy about the book and are ready to present it confidently to our supervisors, along with our Prototype and Presentation.

Prototype - Saturday shooting

Image
Diary Entry We decided to meet up by 9.30am on Saturday 17th of November in order to meet Dan Wolfe and Nick Assaf for 11am in Moneystown, Co. Wicklow. Upon arrival to Blanchardstown, We sat in Ian's car deciding the shot's we wanted to take so that we weren't shooting without a plan. We arrived in Moneystown at 11am as scheduled although we did get a call letting us know that Dan would be arriving late. We promptly hopped out of the car as our legs were aching and we were eager for adventure. Taking our time to experience the Wicklow Mountains in all its glory, we explored through the forest and waited for Dan to arrive. We made a silent contract to each other and agreed to be professional and mature towards Dan and Nick as we wanted to let them know we were here on serious business. The only problem was James blurting out "Rob has match attacks in the back seat". Some would think this was our greatest downfall but to our surprise...

Week 8 By Conor Brennan

Week 8 - Group Project  This week was a busy one for the group. We arranged to meet with a professional mountain biker named Dan Wolfe and filmed all the footage we needed for our Prototype video. In the lab, we decided on exactly what we were going to film for the prototype.  Our second meeting this week took place in the canteen after our lecture. We discussed what time and where to meet on Saturday. We also put together a kit list and a storyboard. We borrowed a tripod and two rode mics from the college. We had the rest of the gear ourselves. We traveled up to the Wicklow mountains on Saturday morning and arrived at 10am. We spent the whole day filming and interviewing Dan and his friend. It was great to learn so much about mountain biking and to meet with a professional within the sport. Dan and his friend Nick were very welcoming and gave us fantastic high adrenaline footage that we plan to incorporate into both our Prototype and final piece. Blog post by Conor ...

Project Chronos

Project Chronos How many times in your average day to you say "No" or refuse to put yourself out of your comfort zone. Our project revolves around the motive of putting yourself in an unlikely situation and changing your life for the better. On average, you spend One-Third of your life sleeping and eating. That leaves Two-Thirds of your life for college, work and socialising.  What if you put yourself out there, live a little and make memories.  We want to focus on the people in Ireland that take risks in their lives whether it's a dangerous sport, saying yes to adventures or putting yourself out there.  Meet The Team ENTP - Debater Smart and curious thinkers who cannot resist an intellectual challenge. Robert Byrne -   Robert is a strong-willed, creative 21 year old. When it comes to work he alway's questions everything and can always add new concepts to the table. Robert's role in the team is to participate as the face of the team. ...
